Lost & Found
Lost & Found is a collection of linocuts and screenprints. The prints were created as a visual storytelling project using the following tale as inspiration:
Once upon a time, a girl roamed the wide open spaces. A strong wind came with the change of season shifting everything she thought she knew. The sky narrowed. The girl was lost and became a silhouette. The crow came to her and told her it was time to go. She asked why, but he flew off without an answer. The rabbit told her to flee, to find warmth and water.
Grasping for familiar landmarks, the memories stayed with her, permanent ink on her skin. With the rabbit and crow as guides replaying the past over and over, she was pulled toward the sea. Mesmerized by the tide and re-shaped by the waves, a shipwreck exposed.
She fell asleep during the in-between. In her dreams, she realized the illusion. It was the strange truth of being both and neither. The continual change of becoming what she already was.
